Two voices. A shared commitment to community power.
On Saturday, November 7, GARRAS 2026 will celebrate Brenda Solórzano and Ve’ondre Mitchell at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, recognizing advocacy, leadership, and solidarity that move our communities forward.
Brenda Solórzano | Spirit of Accomplice Award
President and CEO of The California Endowment, Brenda puts community voices at the center of philanthropy. Born in Guatemala and raised in San Francisco, she champions funding that builds trust, shares power, and follows community leadership.
The TransLatin@ Coalition honors her decades of advocacy and her support of trans, gender-expansive, and intersex people. Her recognition celebrates allyship expressed through action, relationships, and a commitment to dignity and belonging.
Ve’ondre Mitchell | The Trans Spirit of Resilience Award
Through music, storytelling, and advocacy, Ve’ondre celebrates Black and Latina trans identity while challenging discrimination. A returning member of the GARRAS community, she joins this year as both an honoree and a featured performer.
Join us to celebrate their contributions and a night where fashion, expression, and collective power take the floor.
